After High School, I went to Community College because I could not qualify for grants or any scholarships. My dad was already working two jobs and I wanted to make my own way in life, not to mention I became disillusioned after deciding not to persue the field I thought I wanted to study. I needed to ‘find my niche’ and going to community college might help me figure things out. But I was not ‘given’ a college education. A few years later, I had a chance to apply for an apprenticeship job at a major company, which would have meant great training and salary. It could have meant a lucrative livelyhood. Had I got that job, I would be able to retire now at more than I now make. The company had a government contract, so they had to meet certain requirements. They had 50 openings and after a preliminary interview, a test was given. Out of hundreds of applicants, I scored 52nd and thought I had a good chance at getting one of the appenticeship openings since several people that scored higher than me chose a different career path. I was called in for an interview after my test and was told that, unfortunately, after he hired the manditory minorities who scored lower than me, I would not be hired. Which meant they had a quota based on skin color and not qualification.

I then applied for a job at a manufacturing plant. The human resource person placed a code on my application. When she was not looking, I looked at a chart on her desk only to find that the code was that I was white and prioritised for hire. It turns out that this company needed to fulfill the quota of white people to maintain a government contract. As I found out later, the company had very few caucasions. I got the job that day without an interview.

In college, a fellow student claimed he was decended from slaves and I could never know what it was like to be him. I promptly told him I could trace my roots to a decendant who imigrated to America in 1717 to Philidelphia as an endentured servant. Now, for those of you who do not know, endentured servatude was a way to sell yourself into slavery until a debt has been paid off. The only way he had to get to the colonies was to become a slave to pay his way. I then told him that there was no way for him to know me or my story just as I could not know him or his story, but that neither of us nor our parents were slaves.

I grew up in Los Angeles in the 60’s and 70’s. I saw firsthand riots, I met members of the black panthers and KKK, not by choice but by force. I grew up in a neighborhood that was near the border of the Crips and the Bloods turf wars. I had friends that were members of El Lobos. My High School was one of the few that did not have to participate in busing to the innercities because we were already diverse.

I am caucasion, but I did not benefit from so called white privelage. My wife and I have worked hard for everything we have. We were never ‘given’ anything. I have been denied grants and scholarships for a higher education because of my skin color. I have been hired for a job because of my skin color. I have been denied a job that I was better qualified for because of my skin color. The job I was denied would have led to a great education and career. The job I was given was a minimum wage job with no chance for advancement. I did not have a temper tantrum because society did not ‘give’ me anything. Life is NOT fair. It never has been nor will it ever be.

If you want to spout bumper sticker slogans at me claiming I have benefited from so called white privelage, you prove your ignorance and prove your head is full of kangaroo dung. Stop spouting bumper sticker slogans and stop believing the pap that your socialist professors have been feeding you. Someone paid alot of money for you to get an education and that person or persons deserves a refund because you have been fed chocolate covered crap and you want more. There is nothing for free. Even freedom costs, and many people are tired of paying for your stupidity. Grow up and pay your way in life.

Many have said that people of World War II were the greatest generation. Many young men lied about their age to join the armed forces. 16, and 17 year old young men were lying so that they could join the military. Many young men were involved in ‘Operation Overlord” which was the invasion of Normandy.  10,000 casualties and well over 4400 men killed that day. There were 16 thru 24 year old men storming the beaches facing almost certain death. John Wayne said that “Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway”. The men and women of that generation definitely had courage.

In contrast, since the election of last week, we have seen children being lead out of their classes to march in protest. College students protesting calling president elect Donald Trump every epithet known to a drunken sailor. These young childish heads full of kangaroo dung have actually demanded psychological counseling. Many schools have designated times for these crybaby pissy pants to get said counseling. YouTube is full of many people, that I call socialists, demanding Trump be impeached and Hillary Clinton be put in as president elect. The same person that cheated, lied and some say murdered to become very wealthy and powerful. We have a generation that are wusses, effeminate men swimming in a sea of estrogen that can not stop suckling the teat of government. People that ‘want’ but do not feel the need to ‘earn’. Last year, near Christmas, I wrote about a lesson in ‘A Christmas Carol.

The ghost of Christmas present warned Scrooge of the two ‘children’ under his cloak. These two were named ‘Want’ and ‘Ignorance’.  The spirit warned that both were wretched and vile, but be mostly afraid of the boy names ‘Ignorance’ as it is written on his brow ‘Doom’ . We have a generation of people that are ignorant even though they may be educated. Ignorance breeds doom and destruction for all of mankind.

Our generation is full of children named ‘Want’ and ‘Ignorance’. The generation of World War II would be so ashamed of this generation. The propagandist have taken control of our schools as well as the newspapers and all I can say is ‘the teeter totter is almost past the tipping point”. If this nation is to survive as envisioned by or forefathers, then we, as a nation, must get back to being self reliant. Earning what you have and not taking what is not yours. Doing without if you can not afford it. Canning like our grand parents and parents used to do. Making what we have last longer. Fixing what we have. Helping our neighbors because it is the right thing to do. Teaching self reliance to the current generation of students and keeping political opinions out of our classes and getting back to teaching reading, writing, arithmetic and true American history, including the Constitution of the United States of America.  If we do not stop the current path of our children, then America will fail. We will have turned our backs on the very principles that has made this country great, at least at one time. The very country that brought forth so much innovation and technology will be placed on the ash heap of history as a failed experiment on individual freedom.

Contrast the youth of 1944 to the youth of 2016 and you can see that this country has been lead down the wrong path. I am sure that those facing certain death on the beaches of Normandy had dreams, wants and wishes of their own but they sacrificed for the greater good. I am sure that the same aged youth of today would not be so willing to sacrifice their cell phones, Nintendo’s, Play Stations and computers let alone join the armed services for a greater good. No, the greatest generation has got to be those that sacrificed their comfort, their safety and their lives for the greater good.

To those that are upset that Hillary Clinton did not win, you are delusional and one of the problem. I want to slap you and tell you to get over it. You do not get to have your way all the time. You had your way the last eight years and it has almost destroyed this nation. We were given one last chance. Don’t waste it crying that you don’t get free stuff paid for by the rest of us. Don’t waste my time by marching in the streets demanding that I listen to you. It is time for you to enter the real world, and the real world will do more than slap you in the face. Reality is not fair. Get up, change your diaper and work for what you want. I can’t afford your stupidity anymore.

Have you ever been in a food fight? Laurel and Hardy had a good pie fight in ‘Battle of the century’ 1927. Then there is a good food fight in ‘Animal House’ with John Belushi 1978. But my favorite food fight movie of all time has got to be Tony Curtis in ‘The Great Race’ 1965 with Jack Lemmon, Peter Falk and Keenan Wynn. It is a pie fight to end all food fights. according to Wikipedia, that pie fight took over 5 days to film and over 4000, thats right… four thousand pies were thrown. In this pie fight, even the Great Leslie, played by Tony Curtis stays clean while flying pie debris is hurled around him. Pie innards are flying in all directions and everyone becomes soiled by what is being thrown. (The scene took a long time to film because in order to make it seem that Tony Curtis is unscathed, he had to change cloths several times). That is the fun and the danger of a pie fight. But it was in the late 1960’s that I will never forget a fight were shtuff was being hurled. It was the San Diego zoo and my grandpa took me to see the animals. We had meandered to the gorilla pen and watched these strong, huge gorillas interacting with each other. Now the enclosure was seperated from the zoo visitors by a large mote. A few of the visitors started acting like adolesence by performing the obligatory gorilla act of grunting while scratching their armpits and making faces at the gorillas then laughing. One particularly large gorilla seemed to become annoyed and stood up and beat his chest. At that moment my grandpa pulled me behind a large boulder that was on our side of the mote. It seemed that the gorilla grabbed a handfull of poo and flung it so hard it splattered very loudly on that boulder so much that poo splattered onto the fools acting like apes. Thank you grandpa.

Well, we just finished a very long and ugly political poo flinging contest. Each side had their designated poo flingers. It was on TV, radio, newsprint (who still reads the newspaper?) I got mail, robo-calls and there were paid people running up and down the sidewalks flinging political poo. You know, the young students paid to get signatures from good minded people just wanting to be left alone. Just like in Animal House and The Great Race, nobody was safe from flying political poo. Well, now that it is over and a President elect person has been chosen, isn’t it time for a virtual cleansing of all the poo? I was hoping for at least a few days of rest from flying political poo BUT NO SUCH LUCK. Now, we are bombarded on the news of Hillary supporters advocating an actual war. Goups of Hillary automatrons marching in the streets with the 1960’s style chant ‘hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go’. Some even burned Donald trump in effigy. The man has not even taken his oath of office yet and the crybaby pissy pants are at it with their childish tantrums. It reminds me of the great republican riots of 2008 and 2012 when Barrack Hussein Obama took his oath of office. Stores were burned down and police were shot, cars lit on fire and, oh wait, none of that happened did it?

We have done our children a great disservice. We have let the progressives take control of our schools and allowed them to turn our learning institutions into ‘Halls of Indoctination’. These young skulls full of political poo are brought up to believe that life must be made fair… and fair is that they get their way. They believe they have a right to to other peoples money to support their causes and that they need to ‘Make Life Fair’ no matter who it hurts or how much it costs. The poo is still being flung. We, as a society must put a stop to this ‘who flung dung’ attitude. The silent majority has been too polite for the last 20 years, and now we have let a loud and violent minority chase our God and our beliefs away. It is time to grab your shield and stand your ground.
Ephesians chapter 6:10-18 teaches us how to put on our spiritual armor and prepare for spiritual battle, and with so much poo being flung, we need that armor more now than ever.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Eph. 6:10-18

Stand your ground.

Last night, I watched the election results from 5:30 pm until well after Donald Trump gave his acceptance speech. My wife was bored to tears but all the while, I was praying ‘ Lord, do not turn your grace from us. There are still good, God fearing people hear in America. Give us one last chance please’. Well, if you watched, you saw that it took until 3:00AM eastern standard time to finally call Pennsylvania for Trump. We saw Hillary, or rather heard that she called Trump to congratulate him. My immediate response was to thank God for giving America one last chance. Like the prisoner on death row being lead toward the electric chair but gets the governors last minute reprieve, I was thanking God for the chance to show God that there are still God fearing people here in America.

Now, if you have read my prior blogs you know that Trump was not my first nor my second choice for President, but in my opinion, he is a better choice than Hillary. Don’t get me wrong, Trump is NOT the savior of freedom in America but only an instrument to allow America to show that we are still deserving of Gods grace.

It is written in Gods word that : If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Read that again. There are actions that we must take first.

We MUST humble ourselves first. “having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance.” Showing in our heart that we put GOD above ourselves… Showing God that we put ourselves below God.

…and pray. Communing with God. Asking His council and waiting for an answer.

…and seek my face. In order for us to be in the presence of God, we MUST be pure in heart and mind. We MUST spiritually purify ourselves in order to be able to seek His grace.

…and turn from their wicked ways. If you do that which you know God would not approve of, then you are doing wickedness. Hate, lust, greed, covetousness, to seek that which you do not deserve, to defile yourself and your spirit is wickedness. We MUST purge ourselves and our society of such wickedness.

THEN I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.

So there are things that we, as individuals AND a society, MUST do first. It requires action on our part which will prove to GOD that we are ready for his blessings.

So, get out the information. Instruct your children, neighbors and friends. Our nation was once a light on a hill, unfortunately, we allowed that light to blind us and we allowed ourselves to forget where our blessings came from and why. We can receive the blessings of liberty once again as long as we remember who gave us those blessings first.

A new movie is out with an actor that I like, but this movie I will pass on. The movie is Dr. Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch. The trailers for the movie tell me all I need to know, as a Christian, to pass on this movie.

Did you catch that last line? “…the most powerful sorcerer in existence.” Thats right, the writters of comic book heros was not content on super heros like Superman who was dedicated to truth, justice and the American way, or Batman who after witnessing his parents murdered swore an oath of vengeance against criminals, an oath tempered by a sense of justice. Then my childhood favorite Spiderman, who was a normal teenage boy stuggling with adolesence, awkwardness, lonliness and who had to learn that “with great power there must also come great responsibility”. Finally, a teenager who was not a sidekick or comic relief. No, a super hero is, in my opinion, not someone who would rely on mystics, sorcery or magic.

The Bible warns us about ‘sooth sayers’. Leviticus 19:31 warns us not to defile ourselves by going to anyone that consults with spirits. Leviticus 20:6 says that soothsayers and sorcerers are spiritual prostitutes and in Leviticus 20:27 God commands us to put to death witches and sorcerers because they are an abomination to Him. And what has to be a bone chilling warning from God about sorcerers and spiritualists in Deuteronomy 18:10-14 should scare any follower of Christ away from such a movie as Dr. Strange.

No thank you. I will not defile myself with this movie. I will stick to super heros like Captain America, Ironman and the Green Lantern and watch movies with John Wayne, Jimmie Stewart and Humphrey Bogart. At least I am not spiritually prostituting my soul in make believing that I could be Spiderman, who does whatever a spider can, spins a web any size and catch thieves just like flies. Watch out that you don’t spiritually prostitute your soul by watching this movie that is an abomination unto our Lord.
